Look What Cami Found!

That's right, Cami. It was your own hand all along that's been attacking your face for the past three months. Not your parents afterall!

Final Catch Up: The Cam-ster

Here are some of my favorite images of Cami in her 3rd month with us! Fun times with our Camster!

I get such kick out of this kid. I wrapped Cami up in this towel after a good bath and dried her off. I don't remember what I did, but she started laughing hysterically. It always reassuring to know that someone appreciates my goofy sense of humor :)

She is such a smiley, happy girl. I propped her up in the chair and she just smiled and talked to me the whole time. She goes along with whatever I put her through :)

We have a rotation of toy/play stations that we do every day. I was getting bored with it so I pulled out the Baby Pod to see if she could sit in it yet. She mostly leans to the side like in this pic (so I stuff cloths around each side of her). She loves sitting up though and concentrates hard to get the toys I put in front of her. She gets better at it every day!

Leaning a little bit ;)

She looks so tiny in the baby pod! She loves it though :)
This is one of my favorite up close shots. Those eyes follow me wherever I go and watch my every action. It's a great incentive for me to be a good example to her. She seems to have the expression of "why are you not holding me?" every time I lay her down to play with toys

We went over to Great Grandma and Grandpa Bryner's house so they could meet Cami. Grandpa is in his mid 90's and every time we pull up to his house he's working in the yard. This time he was raking weeds; last time he was shoveling snow and wheel barreling it away :). I hope I'm that agile when I'm 90 (and hope I'm still living at my own home too!!)

Another one of my favorite Cami poses. She stares at me like this whenever I stroll her around stores, parks, etc. She waits until I look at her and then she gives me a huge smile. Cami is the best!

Catch up #3--Day Trip to Antelope Island

Bry and I made a goal this year to start doing "day trips" to local Utah sites. My family did this when we first moved to Georgia and we loved getting to know the area, history, sites, etc. So, we decided to do the same thing. Our first day trip was, well, spur of the moment. We went up to see our lot in Farmington, UT and decided that we'd go to Antelope Island and see the Great Salt Lake. I learned two things about the Great Salt Lake that day: 1. It is GREAT and expansive and 2. It is SUPER BUGG-Y. Whenever we stepped outside of the car we were bombarded with gnats and mosquitoes. I can't handle bugs too well so we pretty much stayed in the truck the whole time and did a sight-seeing tour inside :).
Bryan and the Great Salt Lake behind him. I think he got five bug bites in the ten seconds we were outside taking this picture :)

There's a lot of random wild life on this one little island. This is a prong-horned antelope that we spotted just off the road.

There was a high point that seemed safe to take a hike so we covered Cami with her jacket, socks, and hat. We made it about five minutes out before we turned around :).

More random wild life behind us. These are a huge herd of Buffalo. Crazy! They were all over the island just grazing and hanging out. :)
See, they really are Buffalo :). Day trip number one was a lot of fun (minus the bugs it would've been great!). We're hoping to hit up quite a few places in UT this summer (when we stop going out of town every weekend! :). More to come!

Catch up #2--Blessing Day

We had Cami blessed on Sunday, May 30th, in church. We had a lot of family come up and support us! It was such a great experience. I was pretty teary eyed the whole day thinking about how blessed we are to have Cami. She is such a special kid and I feel so grateful to be her mother. What a huge and blessed responsibility we've been given as her parents. Originally we planned to have her blessed in my blessing dress from when I was a baby, but I realized a few days beforehand that I was blessed at 2 weeks old and Cami was blessed at 2 months...not quite a fit in such a dainty, little dress. Needless to say, we made a quick trip to Jolene's and got this cute dress for her.

She seems to grow faster and faster. She looks bigger to me each day and she's developing new quirks and learning new things each day. It was great to listen to her baby blessing and know how much her Heavenly Father loves her and what great things He has in store for her. It is times like this that I just count all the beautiful blessings in my life and am just overwhelmed with gratitude. We have such supportive family on both the Bryner side and the Jones side. I am so grateful for our families. Cami is a lucky girl to have such a loving group surrounding her.

Bryner Family shot. She was out cold during the blessing :)! She's always so cooperative!Bryner grandkids with Grandma and Grandpa Bryner

My family :) Good looking group!

Jones side grandkids (minus Tavin and Kirra!)

Our beautiful Camdyn!

Luncheon at the clubhouse afterward. We're chilling with the Bryners :)
My Grandma French, Cami's great grandma!

All of the people who came out for Cami's blessing. Thank goodness for family!!

Catch Up #1-- Quality Time with Matt and Cindel

Where to start? Well, Cami is now three months old. She is so super fun right now. She talks to us all the time, is beginning to giggle (so I try to be a comedian basically all day now :), rolls over to her side (and, incidentally, sleeps on her side now), and can bust out of EVERY swaddle I put her into. It's almost not worth trying to wrap her up in a blanket :).

Matt and Cindel Liebenhaut came into town (my sister and bro-in-law) from FL to visit us for a week. It was so much fun to see them and get to know Matt. They've been married for two years now! (They sacrificed their anniversary trip to come and see us! That's dedication!)

We did the Temple Square tour--Church history Museum and Visitors Centers. Matt said this is like his "hajj" coming to the Mormon motherland. He's been a member of the LDS church for three years now (is that right, Matt?). So, it's only fitting he sees the sites :)

Whenever the Liebenhauts come West, they bring the party! My sister Rhiannon and her fam came from Idaho and my dad, stepmom, and grandma came from New Mexico to see them here in UT. This is Cami and her cousin, Paisley. They're three months apart. They are going to be BFFs :)

The three son-in-laws. All athletic, all 6-2' and higher, and all fun. We went up the canyon for Memorial Day to do a picnic. The trees still hadn't bloomed by this point. Very late spring!
The girls. Rhi is looking awesome and lost all of her pregnancy weight! I am, well, still working on it! Jillian Michaels DVDs should kick in soon :)
We took Matt and Cindel out to La Costa after the rest of the family left. We also played a pretty ghetto game of streetball: me and Bry vs. Cindel and Matt. Matt definitely has the intimidation factor with his height and Cindel can run figure eights better than anyone I know :). Needless to say, they won. Rematch this fall? Definitely!

Cami is learning to throw up gang signs. She's representing the "West Side" here. We put her in the booth with us, facing Matt and Cindel. She was all smiles!

After the party weekend. We still take A LOT of naps. Some day this kid will sleep through the night :)

Who is that Girl I see...?

...Staring straight back at me?

She stared at herself for a good ten minutes. Funny Girl!

Cami's Stats

For her two month appointment she:

weighs 12 lbs 4 oz (90th percentile, but under the curve for weight when they looked at how long she is)

length is 24 inches (95th percentile)

and her head circumference is still in the 75th percentile.
